Fellowship of Christian Women to meet Thursday, January 26th
Thursday, January 19, 2012 • Posted January 19, 2012

Next Thursday, January 26th, Fellowship of Christian Women are making plans to begin another year. We will be gathering at the Presbyterian Church in the downstairs fellowship hall. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. the luncheon will feature, Winter Casseroles and Desserts, treating our ladies in their 50’s. Other ages are encouraged to look for recipes of casseroles or desserts and plan to bring the covered dishes to share around the serving tables. A nursery can be available if you phone Sharon Hayes to make arrangements in advance. Do remember to bring food for your children, if you want them to eat during the luncheon time. Please note that our schedule has been changed and we will not be at Parkview that day. May 28, 2011 was indeed a wonderful day in the life of Mrs. Doug Clancey from Cherokee and she has agreed to come and share her story of a second chance at life, because on that day she received the gift of a liver transplant. Kaye refers to several blessings from God as she talks, and thinks the entire experience was meant to strengthen her faith in God. To quote Kaye, she says: “I’m a walking, talking, breathing miracle.” Kaye has been in nursing for 38 years helping others and now Doug and Kaye are raising their granddaughters, Mikayla and Clarissa. Ladies of the Presbyterian Church invite the ladies of the county to come and enjoy the fellowshipping time and then to hear Kaye’s amazing testimony of faith and the many ways God provided for her and her family.
