Stoney Lee Crain, 82, of Denver City, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Denver City, Texas.Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the Assembly of God Church in San Saba, Texas. Interment was Saturday January 14, 2012 in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.Stoney was born July 15, 1929 in San Saba, Texas to John and Dennie Crain. He married Betty Cummings in Goldthwaite, Texas on July 15, 1950. He worked for G & G Tong of Denver City as a truck driver until he retired. Stoney was a member of San Saba Assembly of God. Stoney was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Crain, Jesse Crain, Wilburn Crain, Wiley Crain, Jerry Crain; one sister, Johnnie; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Lee Howard and Misty Evans.Stoney is survived by his wife Betty Jo Crain of Denver City, Texas; a son, Jimmy Crain of Sour Lake, Texas; four daughters, Carolyn Hendricks of Denver City, Texas; Shirlee Dewlen of Denver City Texas; Helen Anderson of Hurst, Texas; Debra Blakley of Hobbs, New Mexico; three brothers, Lusty Crain of Blessing, Texas; Randle Crain of Kingsland, Texas; Franklin Crain of Cherokee,Texas; three sisters, Jerline Davis of Plano, Texas; Coraneil Hedrick and Darline Boltinghouse of Spicewood, Texas; and 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
