The descendants of Amos Jasper Locklear and Sarah Elizabeth Wolfe Locklear gathered for a cousins' reunion in June at the Eden Housing Authority in Eden, Texas.

The children of Amos and Sarah were: Andy, John, Mose, Sud, Travis, Clabe, Ben, Lon, Ollie and Eunice.

The men in the family were horsemen - mainly race horses. Many of them lived and died in San Saba and Richland Springs.

Only one of all their children is still living. James O. Locklear, son of Lon and Georgia Spiller Locklear, was a very special cousin for the day.

A pot luck dinner was enjoyed by all, with the main dish prepared by Natha Locklear, Dianna Davison and Natalee Joy.

Fun was had by all in visiting and looking at old pictures. Some of the favorites were of old reunions held on the San Saba River at Harkeyville.

Reavis, Natalee Locklear Joy, Neal Little, Will Alston, Bob and Shirley Melton; and Harry Tetens.
