The JV boys (Purple) have played three games since the last newspaper article. On Saturday December 31st, the teams traveled to Early for their first district contest. The JV boys lost to the Longhorns by the score of 45-33. Scoring for the JV Dillos was as follows: Garrett Welch (2), Kolton Ellis (3), Luis Vega (5), Isaac Zepeda (5), Kelton Brown (16), and Joe Lindsey (2). On January the 3rd, the boys were back in action hosting the Dublin Lions. The JV Dillos won that game by the score of 40-22. Scoring for the Dillos: Welch (6), Ellis (2), Vega (11), Zepeda (4), Brown (15), and Caelob Hardman (2).On Friday the 6th, our teams traveled to Bangs. This was our second game against Bangs, who had previously beaten us in the Hico tournament. The JV boys played well and pulled out an exciting 38-36 victory. Scoring for the Dillos: Welch (2), Ellis (8), Vega (13), Zepeda (4), Brown (5), Lindsey (4), and Hardman (2). This week the basketball teams will travel to Hamilton on Tuesday, and host Coleman on Friday. The JV Dillos currently have a 9-4 record and are 2-1 in district play.
