The Lady Dillos hosted the Dublin Lady Lions on Tuesday night. This game was a battle from start to finish. The Lady Dillos held a 15-12 lead at the end of the 1st quarter but would go in at the half trailing by 10. The Lady Dillos continued to fight their way back and cut the lead to 4 with 4 minutes left in the game. However, Dublin was able to hold on and defeat the Lady Dillos by a score of 50-56. I felt like we did a lot of positive things in this game and played together as a team. It was one of our better "all around" games. We were able to move the ball on offense and got quality looks at the basket on each possession. Dublin just has 3 strong shooters and they shot the ball extremely well. Scoring for the Lady Dillos were A. Maxcey, 3; Saldivar, 2; M. Maxcey, 18; Pulatie, 9; Turner, 12; and Bauerschlag, 6.The Lady Dillos then traveled to Bangs on Friday night. It was a tough night and Bangs defeated the Lady Dillos 21-55. We did not shoot the ball well and ended up digging our selves a hole early in the game. I think if we could have got some momentum going in the beginning, things would have been different. We have to be more consistent from quarter to quarter and night to night.
