It’s hard to believe the holidays are already over, but school is definitely back in full swing! The varsity basketball teams traveled to Lohn last Tuesday. Both teams came up short of victories. The junior high teams traveled to Richland Springs on Thursday. Both games were quite exciting, and both teams came home victorious. On Friday, the Indians hosted Eden. The Lady Indians were victorious. The Indians played hard but lost by 7. This week the junior high traveled to Lometa on Monday and high school traveled to Richland Springs on Tuesday. On Friday, the Indians will host Rochelle. On 1/16, the junior high hosts Lometa and on 1/17 the high school will host Menard.4-H and FFA members are getting ready for the San Saba County Stock Show which will be held January, 20-21st. Be sure to have your entries ready to turn in on the afternoon of the 20th. Cherokee Junior High will host its annual basketball tournament on Saturday, January 28th. The Lady Indians will begin tournament play at 8 a.m. followed by the Indians game at 9:15. Students will be signing up to bring things for the hospitality room.
