FCW sponsors ladies luncheon
Thursday, July 17, 2008 • Posted July 17, 2008

Next Thursday, July 24th, come to the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in San Saba for a Summer Casseroles and Cakes Luncheon, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Women.

Beginning at 11:30, we will be treating our youngest ladies in their 20’s. We encourage you to look for a special recipe to prepare and share around the serving tables or bring whatever you have easy to fix, after all it is summertime!

Dee Vickery has agreed to come and share her story of a Christian ministry started in 1999.

She moved here a year ago and has continued Off the Beaten Paths, a faith-based organization to help victims of domestic violence, assisting the victim as well as offering help to the batterer.

Dee provides one-on-one education and restoration programs, with the help of volunteers and mentors. She plans to share some goals and we, indeed, are looking forward to hearing from this mother and grandmother.
