Thomas Carson Edmondson Jr., 64, of Arlington, Texas died January 7, 2012.Thomas, also known as “Tommy”, “Coach Ed”, or “Ched” had a passion for family, friends, work, and life in general. He was best known for his passion for coaching. He coached in the Arlington school district for 35 years. His last 15 years were spent at Arlington High School coaching his favorite sport of girls softball. He will be remembered by his huge network of coaches throughout the entire state as well as the thousands of students whose lives he touched.Tommy is survived by his wife, Carmela; children, Brett, Leah, Cambria, John, Nicholas, and Victoria; grandchildren, Lindsey, Caden, Mackenzie, and Beau.Tommy was a friend to all who knew him, a mentor to the many who had the privilege of playing for him, a loving husband, and a father, to we select few who called him dad. Tommy left his mark on all of us. He will be remembered by all who loved him for his complete selflessness and his love of the game! He will be sincerely missed.”And when my life was over and my gamut run, I’d thank God for my freedom, country, friends and son.”Tommy Edmondson Sept. 30, 1947 - Jan. 7, 2012The family visiting hours were Monday, January 9th, 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. and general hours were 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.The funeral service was held Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church, 715 E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011. The burial was at the San Saba City Cemetery on Tuesday, January 10th.Arrangements under the direction of Moore Funeral Home and Blaylock Funeral Chapel.
