The San Saba County Commissioners Court met on Monday, January 9th at 9:00 a.m. in the County Judge’s chambers. County Judge, Byron Theodosis, called the meeting to order, and welcomed everyone to the court. Commissioner Rickey Lusty gave the invocation followed by everyone joining for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.On the agenda were the following Special Action Items: 1. The West Central Wireless representative was not available for the meeting and will reschedule. 2. The Commissioners approved the San Saba County Audit presented by Kevin Shahan, CPA. Kevin gave a very favorable report stating that the county is in a solid and continually improving financial position. 3. The Accounts Payable presented by County Treasurer, Gayla Hawkins, was approved to be paid. 4. The next Commissioners Court will be on Monday, January 23rd at 9 a.m. 5. The minutes of the previous Commissioners Court meeting were approved. 6. A Wireless phone not in use in one of the precincts will be available to the Sheriff’s Office after some adjustments. The following County Officials and Departmental Reports were approved subject to audit:A. County/District Clerk’s report presented by County Clerk, Kim Wells.B. County Treasurer’s report presented by County Treasurer, Gayla Hawkins.C. The Justice of the Peace report presented by Judge Les Dawson.D. The County Sheriff report was accepted and the Jail report confirmed by Commissioner, Kenley Kroll.The following Non-action Departmental Reports were accepted:a. County Extension Agents.b. County Trapper.Judge Theodosis announced that the Richland Springs 2011 football team will be publicly recognized by the Commissioners Court at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11th at the Stage Coach Restaurant in Richland Springs. Judge Theodosis adjourned the meeting.
