More rain

Yesterday, my wife asked me if I was praying for more rain. I told her that I was not through thanking God for the last rain he sent us.

It was so dry and had not rained for months but we kept on praying and trusting in the Lord. I did not watch the sky or the weather reports very much. I was putting my faith in God who is all powerful, (1 Chronicles 29:11&12) and able to do anything, (Psalm 115:3 &135:6).

Sure enough, one Sunday morning it started raining and kept on for several hours. We could not have watered it any better. It was such a good slow rain.

My wife and I are different when it comes to rain. She gets all excited and praises the Lord. She will even go outside and play in the rain. Then as soon as it stops, she will ride around to see where it has rained.

I really think she just likes to drive through the mud puddles and see the water splash. I have been driving around days after the rain and thanking God over and over for the wonderful rain. I did come to the conclusion before the rain that God was in control and I would accept whatever he had for us, (Philippians 4:11-13).

Lately, I have been going around looking for things that I can thank God for (Psalm 9:1&2). See you in Church next Sunday.
