Off and running for 2012
Thursday, January 5, 2012 • Posted January 5, 2012

It is interesting to see some of the goals, ideas or resolutions being advocated for 2012. Some are saying it is the year of losing weight, others exercise and others healthy eating just to mention a few. I used to hurriedly make a list of new years resolutions and really had no real intention of keeping them. But it is different now and I do not make many but I seriously consider the areas I need to improve in. One area I have been working on the past 6 months is trying to help my wife more in the kitchen and keeping more of my stuff put up or in place. We should not leave out our relationship to God. In that area my goal is to try and read the Bible through this year and especially reading it every day and that can be hard. I even have a little new testament in my pickup so if I get a few minutes I will read from it, (2 Timothy 3:16, Joshua 1:8). I need to pray more for myself, family and others, (John 15:7, Philippians 4:6&7). Faithfully attending worship services with my wife, (Hebrews 10:24&25). Very importantly, is trying to live in a way that brings honor to God, (1 Timothy 1:5). I might not do them all as well as I like but if I do one I am better off, (Philippians 3:1&4). See you in Church next Sunday.
