A little girl walked to and from the elementary school each day. One afternoon a thunderstorm came.Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. The mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child’s school. She saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up and smile. When the mother’s car came near, she asked: “What are you doing? Why do you keep stopping? The child answered, “I am trying to look pretty, and God keeps taking my picture.” Isaiah 25:4: “You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall.” God helps us through the storms of life.
