County Commissioners hold regular meeting

The San Saba County Commissioners Court met on Wednesday, December 28th at 9:00 a.m. in the County Judge’s Chambers. County Judge, Byron Theodosis, called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone to the court. Commissioner, Kenley Kroll gave the invocation followed by everyone joining for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.County Sheriff, Allen Brown reported that the Sheriff’s Department needs a cell phone for the Reserve Deputy to use for civil processing. Sheriff Brown also reported that the jail has plumbing problems because the foundation is shifting as the result of the dry and then wet conditions. The Court discussed, deliberated and took action on the following items:1. Approved Resolution No. 2011-27, between County and City for the purpose of filling the position of Emergency Management Coordinator, for a term beginning October 1, 2011 and extending until September 20, 2012. 2. Appointed Kathy Brockman, from the Richland Springs area, to the Child Welfare Board.3. Approved for the County Treasurer, Gayla Hawkins to pay the bills presented to the Court. 4. The next Commissioners Court will be Monday, January 9th, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.Judge Theodosis adjourned the meeting. Attending the meeting were: County Judge, Byron Theodosis; Commissioners, Pat Pool, Kenley Kroll, Rickey Lusty, Otis Judkins; County Clerk, Kim Wells; County Treasurer, Gayla Hawkins, Administrative Assistant, Cathi Miles; County Sheriff, Allen Brown; Chief Deputy, Bill Price and San Saba News & Star Reporter, Alice Smith.
