Refresh is a very powerful and potent word in the Bible. Who among us does not need refreshing from time to time? Proverbs 11:25: “. . . he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” Acts 3:19 speaks: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” 1 Peter 3:21: “and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Refreshment comes from God after seeking His forgiveness through repentance and being buried with Him in baptism. When we seem to lose our connection with God, we need refreshment! You get that refreshment when you obey God.
