Thursday, December 15, 2011 • Posted December 15, 2011

The San Saba County Historical Society, Inc. is very pleased to announce the arrival of its special third edition of The Call of the San Saba written by Alma Ward Hamrick and first published in 1941. This reprint commemorates the centennial of our County courthouse and contains both the photographs from the first edition and the “Who’s Who in San Saba County” section which was added in the second edition (1969). All proceeds from your purchase of this beautiful book will be used by the Historical Society to support courthouse restoration. If you are interested in buying a copy for yourself or as a gift, the price is $60.00 plus shipping (if needed). Books are available for immediate purchase during normal banking hours at the City National Bank, 209 East Brown Street, San Saba, Texas 76877. You may also obtain an order form online via e-mail at jerlyn@centex.net. Pre-publication orders only may be picked up at the Rylander Memorial Library. The library is open 11-5 weekdays and 10-2 on Saturday. If you paid for the book to be mailed to you prior to October 31, it will already have been shipped to you on Monday or Tuesday of this week.
