Five CEU Day in Lampasas

The Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Lampasas County, will sponsor a 5 CEU Conference on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Lampasas County Farm Bureau (1793 N US Hwy 281, Lampasas). This program will be for individuals who possess a valid private applicators license, a commercial applicators license, or a non-commercial applicators license, and would like continuing education units (CEUs) to help with fulfilling their re-certification requirements. Speakers will be Wade Hibler, Burnet County Extension Agent discussing “IPM for the Texas Hill Country”; Heath Lusty, Lampasas County Extension Agent will review “Pesticides – Mixing, Loading, & PPE”; Tom Guthrie, Mills County Extension Agent will cover “Predator Control”; Scott Anderson, Brown County Extension Agent will present “Brush Species Ecology & Management”; and Neal Alexander, San Saba County Extension Agent will discuss “Pesticide Laws and Regulations”. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 9:00 a.m. Five (5) CEUs will be offered: 3 General, 1 IPM, and 1 Laws and Regulations. The cost of this program will be $25.00 per participant if you pre-register, which includes the registration fee, refreshments, and lunch. If you don’t pre-register, the cost will be $30.00 at the door.Please contact the Lampasas County Extension Office at 512-556-8271 by December 9 to pre-register for this conference so we will have an accurate meal count. The registration fee may be paid at the time of the conference.
