Lady Dillo Basketball Report
Thursday, November 17, 2011 • Posted November 17, 2011

The Lady Dillos opened up their season with an exciting 55-29 win over the Ingram Lady Warriors on Tuesday night. Defensive pressure and intensity allowed the Lady Dillos to take a commanding 23-7 lead into halftime and they would never look back from there. I was very pleased with our effort and hustle from start to finish. These girls are definitely an exciting bunch to watch and they get after it from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer. The victory was a total team effort as every Lady Dillo was able to score and contribute to the win. Scoring totals for the Lady Dillos were Bauerschlag 11, Maxcey 9, Turner 8, Haverland 7, Pulatie 4, A. Maxcey 4, Kutin 4, Saldivar 4, Cisneroz 2, and Ross 2.The Lady Dillos then traveled to Mason on Saturday and were defeated by a stout Mason Cowgirl team. Although we did not come away with the win, I felt like it was good for us to see the type of pressure that Mason displayed early in the season so that we can learn from it and improve. The Lady Dillos will host the Hill Country Classic this week beginning on Thursday and continuing through Saturday. The Lady Dillos will play their first game of the tournament on Thursday night at 7:00.Come out and show the girls your support!Go Lady Dillos!!
