Lenora Jean Benoist, age 79 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday November 13, 2011 at her residence. Jean was born March 5, 1932 in Roganville, TX the daughter of Jim Blair and Katie (Westbrook) Blair. She married James Benoist June 29, 1951 in Orange, TX. Jean was a member of Community Church in Lampasas and had been a resident of the area since 1956. Jean loved to go camping and fishing at Bend. She also loved cooking and traveling. Jean is survived by husband, James Benoist of Lampasas; sisters, Elsie Benoist of Buna, TX; Gracie Edgar of Pflugerville; brother, Jimmy Blair of Hemphill, TX; grandchildren, Darrell Ernest Pryor and Sterling Edward Zwicker; 7 great- grandchildren.Jean was preceded in death by her son, Nolan Ernest Pryor in 2003; her sister, Yvonne Warren and 2 brothers, Tommy Blair and Darrell Blair.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Reid Schaub officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery at Bend, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.Memorials may be sent to Community Church or Bend Methodist Church.Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
