This Friday brings an end to the second six-week grading period. This means that roughly one-third of the school year has gone by. Please look for report cards next week. Make sure you see your child’s report card. Call the school at 452-3427 if you do not receive a report card. Parent involvement is a key to student success. The Richland Springs Booster Club’s Chili/Bingo Night was a huge success. Thanks to all who supported their fundraising event last Saturday night.The junior high basketball teams played Olfen this past Monday for their first game of the year. Junior high girls’ coach is Candi Lewis. Coach Lewis praises the junior high girls for their conditioning efforts. Coach Burkhart is the junior high boys’ coach. The junior high will play again next Monday, November 14 at Lohn gym at 6:00. The Lady Coyotes won their second scrimmage at Blanket 41-12. Coach Pam Starr praised the varsity girls for their conditioning efforts. The varsity Lady Coyotes will play their first game at Rising Star on Saturday, November 12 at 3:00 p.m. Come out and watch our young athletes in action; you won’t be disappointed!The Richland Springs Coyotes are District 15 football champs for the 10th year in a row. Quite an accomplishment! The playoff bracket pairs up the District 15 winner against the District 16 runner-up. The District 16 champion and runner-up were not decided until last Friday night when Calvert beat Buckholts. Richland Springs will play the Buckholts Badgers in the bi-district round of the playoffs. The game will be played in Richland Springs on Friday, November 11th beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices for the game are $6 Adults/$4 Students.This Friday brings an end to the second six-week grading period.
