The San Saba Football teams finished the regular season with the Junction Eagles this past week. The 7th grade beat Junction 16-14 to finish the season 7-1-1 over all and 4-1 in district. The 8th. grade lost 14-0 to finish the season 5-4 over all and 3-2 in district. The JV won 34-16 to finish the season 4-5-1 over all and 3-1-1 in district. The Varsity won 55-7 to finish the regular season 6-4 and 3-2 in district. The Varsity win against Junction put the Armadillos in the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. This week the Armadillos take on the Stockdale Brahmas in the division 2 bi-district championship. The bi-district game will be played at Canyon Lake High School, (Hawk Stadium). Friday November 11th at 7:30. Canyon Lake is located on highway 32 between Blanco and San Marcos.( 8555 FM 32 - Fischer, Tx. 78623). Admission will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students, and the gates will open at 6:15. We look forward to a great following and a great game. Thanks for the huge following to Junction. The Franks Trophy Shop player of the week is Alex Cervantes the Sr. Fullback/ Linebacker tallied 12 tackles, 3 qb pressures and a pass break up along with a block punt return for a touchdown in the 55-7 playoff clinching win over Junction.
