Mabel Louise Ledbetter

Mabel Louise Ledbetter, age 73 , passed away on November 6, 2011, in her home. She was a homemaker and owned Mabel’s Happy Curls beauty shop. Mabel was born October 9, 1938 to John and Lometa Blair. She lived in San Saba most of her life. She was married to Delbert Ledbetter on December 7, 1957. They had two children. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Ledbetter; her grandson, Ryan Daniel; a sister, Dennie Spinks; and her life companion, John Earl McPherson. Survivors include a daughter, Laura Spain and partner, Lori Cortese; a son, Macy Ledbetter and wife, Cathy ; a brother, Travis Blair and wife, Shirley ; two sisters, Wanda Smith and Julia Wilson; grandsons, Devin, Justin, and Wade; granddaughters, Shelby and Jordan; numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel’s extended family included John McPherson and wife, Becky; David McPherson and wife, Donna; and Debbie McPherson.Services were held Tuesday November 8, at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel and Interment was at Neal Cemetery-Spring Creek Community. Pall Barriers for the service are Robert Pulatie, John McPherson, Jr., David McPherson, Dennis Else, Dennis Leon, and Gerald Benner. Clergy for the service are Bro. John Pennington and Bro. Jack Riley. In leiu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Saba Volunteer Fire Department.
