San Saba County 4-H Food Fun Day

San Saba County Food Show was held Sunday October 23rd at the courthouse. Results were: Kendall Johnson, Junior Bread/Cereal, overall winner; Hank Perry, Junior Main Dish, overall winner; Emily Esquivel, Intermediate Nutritious Snack, overall winner; Shayna Underwood, Intermediate Fruit/Vegetable, overall winner; Sydnie Norris, Intermediate Main Dish, overall winner and Beef Award; Marissa Coffman-Spence, Senior Main Dish, overall winner and Melanie Hedley, Senior Fruit/Vegetable; overall winner. The event was sponsored by the Extension Education Council. Special thanks goes to Alesha Rogers San Saba ISD homemaking teacher who let the group use the homemaking building for 4-H Food Fun Day and to Shana Paddie for donating the goody bag gifts. Assisting with Food Fun Day were: Kay Stewart, Doris Cates, Nelda Edgmon, Charlotte Spence, Janie Calderon, Maurine Johnson and Melanie & Michelle Hedley.
