This past Saturday, the Lady Dillos had their first taste of action as we scrimmaged the Rochelle Lady Hornets. The girls have been working extremely hard and it was good to finally get to run up and down the court against someone other than themselves. Overall, I was pleased with the way we played and very proud of the way we competed. One of the things I always preach is intensity and hustle, and I thought that both the Varsity and JV did an excellent job of 'getting after' the Lady Hornets. Scrimmages are always beneficial because they give us a gauge to look at early in the season. They show us areas of strength and areas that must be improved on. There is no doubt that we will continue working hard and striving for excellence as the season draws near.The Lady Dillos have their final scrimmage on November 3rd in Lampasas. The JV will start at 5:15 and the Varsity will follow. Our first game will be Tuesday, November 8, versus Ingram at Armadillo Arena. The JV will tip off at 5:00 and the Varsity at 6:30.
