The GED test will be given at Gatesville High School, November 8 and 9 at Gatesville High School in Room 22. Registration to take the test is Wednesday, November 2, in Room 22 from 5 - 7 p.m. Bring Texas Drivers License, State or Federal Photo ID, Social Security Card and $75. Be sure to bring all ID on testing day as well. Registration will take about 30 minutes to an hour. If the candidate is 17, he/she will need to bring a guardian to register and also have withdrawal papers from the last school attended. If you failed the test between 2002 and 2011 and need to retake one or more parts, each part will cost $15.00 and it must have been six months since you took the test or you must have a letter from the instructor saying that you are ready to take the test. You will need to bring a copy of the previous test scores if you have tested before. For those under 18 years of age, there are other qualifications also. The test will be given at 5:15 p.m. on both November 8 and 9. You must attend both nights to complete the test. ID is required all three nights. It usually takes about 4 hours each night to complete testing.
