Funeral services for Farley Graves, 76, of Bangs, was held on Tuesday, November 1, in the Bangs First Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Wooldridge and Doctor Pepper Dill officiating. Interment followed in Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, October 31, at the funeral home.Maxwell Farley Graves was born on March 7, 1935, to John and Lillie Graves in San Saba Texas. He and Patricia Lin Wooldridge were married in July of 1983, in Baird Texas. He was a farmer and a member of the Bangs First Baptist Church. Mr. Graves leaves behind, his wife of 28 years, Lin Graves of Bangs; children, Max Graves of Gatesville; Laura Wolfe of Adamsville; Jerry Graves and wife Dottie, of Temple; Andrea Hamilton and husband Marvin, of Belton; Carolyn Bergeron and husband Gerald, Gayla Bankhead and husband Travis, of Bangs; David Beene and wife Brandy, of Bangs; grandchildren, Justin Graves, Tara, Sara, Jeri Ann, Amanda, Bradley, Chelsea, Charity, Raymond, Heidi, Jessica, Josh, Chris, Emily, Jasper and Jayton; two great-grandsons, Clayton Graves and Braylon Borrego and soon to be born, his third great-grandchild. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mickey Wooldridge of Bangs; his Aunt Emma Johnson of San Saba; and his beloved dog, Little Bit. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Watson Graves and Lillie Sullivan Graves; and two brothers, Cole Graves and J.W. Graves. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
