Jeannean Hall Thornton age 68 passed away October 25, 2011. Jeannean was born May 17, 1943 in San Saba to John and Catherine Hall. Jeannean married Johnnie (Cotton) Thornton on December 20, 1963. A longtime resident of San Saba where throughout her life she was known as a wife, mother, coach, educator and friend to all. She was a member of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church.Jeannean is survived by her children, Terry Thornton of San Saba, Dale Thornton and wife, Tracy of Austin, and Cristy Thornton of San Saba, her grandchildren, Kinley, Carley, and Jackson Thornton; two sisters, Elyse Peavy of Llano and Jan Hardin of Lake Buchanon. She is also survived by numerous other loved ones and special friends. Jeannean is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Family and Friends gathered Friday afternoon to celebrate her life and cherish her memories at the Pecan Grove Baptist Church. Graveside services were held at 10:00 A.M. Sat. October 29, 2011 in the San Saba Cemetery with Pastor Stuart Beckwith officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pecan Grove Baptist Church or the San Saba County EMS.
