Antique & Art Fair in San Saba November 5th & 6th

The first AnnaGails Antique and Art Fair will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, November 6 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the San Saba Civic Center in Mill Pond Park, 1190 S. Thomas Stewart Drive, San Saba, Texas.“Anna Wilson and Gail Bruner have worked extremely hard to recruit top-notch vendors with a line of upscale products to offer," said San Saba Mayor, Ken Jordan. “An event such as AnnaGails Fair invites tourists to our town and is good for the entire community. John English, a former professional baseball player with the Houston Astro’s/Colt 45’s organization, has always had an interest in art. After a shoulder injury ended his career, he revived his interest in art by developing a passion for photography. In his photography, John strives to create images that show the beauty in the natural world surrounding us all. AnnaGails is proud to have John as one of the dealers for the Fair.The Fair will also include antique dealers from across the country and estate jewelry dealers. For the quilters you will be able to commission a quilt to be made just for you, purchase beautiful quilts or choose a special quilt fabric to make your own.Two local artists who create in water colors and oil paintings will be featured at the Fair. Other artists will offer acrylic paintings, leather art and stained glass art. Another unique item to delight shoppers will be a special display of stone crosses made from San Saba stone. For those lovers of a more rugged art the Fair will offer chainsaw woodwork; detail wood design and metal art. Come find that unique art piece, waiting just for you. AnnaGails rounds out the lineup of dealers with some great fashion boutiques who offer lots of fun and crazy fashion and some unusual leather items. Then treat your senses to a variety of fragrances by Scentsy, the hottest new thing in candles.And of course, what is a fair without great food? In the Country Café there will be a variety of foods prepared by Margaret Carlisle, Esperanza Flores, Elisa Garza, and Sarah Saldivar including chicken quesadillas, tamales, pasolé and special homemade desserts. The menu also includes plenty of easy favorites such as hamburger, hotdogs, Frito pie and nachos.“We are very excited to see this new venture come to fruition. This is how AnnaGails began. Anna Wilson moved to San Saba from Las Cruces, New Mexico and Gail Bruner found San Saba by way of Fort Worth. They met through their mutual interest in various activities and the friendship began. Both Anna and Gail spent their younger adult years raising their children. After their mom-careers began to slow down, they let their creative nature blossom. Before coming to San Saba Anna and Gail worked their way through a variety of careers. Their experiences have nurtured their God given talents which they brought to this community.Both of these ladies have shared their many talents with San Saba through generous donation of time and talent to a number of area non-profits. Anna and Gail are past-presidents of the San Saba Garden Club and remain very active in the Garden Club. The Pierian Club, Keep San Saba Beautiful and the First Baptist Church also enjoy their active membership.They are successful businesswomen who offer interior design with an artistic flair and Anna will even paint your pet. AnnaGails was established in 2008 after the two ladies worked together on interior design jobs. They found they complimented each other’s weaknesses’ and both brought creative strengths to the table.
