Cherokee Football Report
Thursday, October 20, 2011 • Posted October 20, 2011

Since there’s no football game to report on I’ll talk about cross country and other goings on in the great community of Cherokee! Our cross country teams are hard at work preparing for the district meet to be held the 26th at Eden. All teams ran at Priddy’s meet this week. All parents and fans are encouraged to go to Eden on the 26th to cheer on the Indian runners. Running starts at noon and will take place at the Concho Springs Golf Course. The Junior class hosted a Powder Puff game on Tuesday night which was a fun evening for all! The football coaches may be recruiting some girls to play next year! I don’t think there will be any of the Powder Puff “cheerleaders” recruited, but good job…um, ladies! Our Peewee 3rd and 4th grade tackle team will be playing in the playoffs this Saturday in Zephyr. The Indians kick off at 2 p.m. Come out and cheer on these future Indians! Thank you to all the parents, coaches, cheerleaders and players that have made this year’s Peewee football season a huge success!Since there’s no football game to report on I’ll talk about cross country and other goings on in the great community of Cherokee!
