No more rain this week but the ground is just now drying out from the 5 inches we had last week. A cold front is expected to come in on Tuesday of this week. I’ll say it again, I dread the winter time! We had a fairly small crowd for the gospel singing last Saturday night but we had a good time. Wayne Powell led the singing for us with some help from Sue Ransom. Kay McKee and Sue Tripp served as pianists for which we are very grateful. We missed Cecil Campbell and his wife and Laurel and Melia Edmondson who are usually there with their instruments to entertain us. Our special guest was Alice Smith from San Saba who read a poem and sang a beautiful solo. We enjoyed it all. The next gospel singing will be the third Saturday in March. The Richland Springs Coyotes are still winning. Last Friday night they defeated Lohn by a score of 84-22. Those poor little Hornets were 45’d in the first quarter. The Coyotes travel to Brookesmith this Friday night. Well, our Rangers made it to the World Series! It starts Wednesday night when the Rangers will meet the Cardinals. I will be watching! We plan to go to Brownwood on Thursday night to watch great grandson, Jaxon Tucker, and the rest of the Brady Bulldog 7th graders play football. Jaxon’s team is so far undefeated. We had a wonderful surprise when we got home from the singing Saturday night! Bethany Suber and Stacie and Sophia Elizondo were here for the rest of the weekend. We had so much fun watching and playing with Sophia. She is already 16 months old and talking up a storm. No more rain this week but the ground is just now drying out from the 5 inches we had last week.
