In addition to the first annual San Saba River Pecan Jam Festival, the Texas Youth Football League will be bringing in families for football games for 3rd through 6th grade athletes and Texas AgriLife Extension is holding its 2011 Pecan Bottom Run beginning with an 8 a.m. registration at the Mill Pond Park gazebo. To avoid traffic problems in town, public parking for the Pecan Jam will be provided off-site near the city RV Park with shuttle bus service to Risien Park. There will be ample lighting and security at the parking area to ensure public safety.
