Seven Days in Utopia at the Lantex this weekend

The Llano County Museum Board will present the very popular film Seven Days in Utopia this Friday night, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday October 8, at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. It Stars Robert Duvall, who is back in the saddle again playing a mentor to a young golfer. Utopia is the name of an idyllic little Texas town, population 373 and an ambitious young professional golfer, Lucas Black played by Luke Chisholm lands there after an embarrassing public meltdown. He suffered a humiliating loss and drove his car through a fence on the property of Johnny Crawford, played by Duvall, a weather-beaten rancher and former golf pro who arrives in his truck and takes Luke in hand. He offers to coach Luke if he will spend the next week in Utopia, where the rancher houses the young golfer in his trophy-filled office and treats him like an honored guest. The story is all about finding God while finding your golf game and realizing that the game isn’t everything. At the same time, God’s golf lessons, channeled through Johnny help Luke regain his confidence.One dollar off coupons are offered at the banks, restaurants, and stores.
