Thursday, October 6, 2011 • Posted October 6, 2011

About 75 high school and middle school students along with a dozen adults prayed around the flag pole on the San Saba Middle School campus last Wednesday at 7:00 A.M. The See You at the Pole event started in 1990 with a handful of teenagers in Burleson, Texas and has grown to include all 50 states and an estimated 20 countries with 3 million students praying around flag poles last year. San Saba students have participated in the event for several years, praying both for their homes, schools, community and nation. The students represent various churches in San Saba but with a common burden to see God move in the hearts of youth to bring about repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. It is a joy to see God stir the hearts of the youth to the point they are willing to rise early and gather together to pray for each other as well as stand unashamed for their faith in Jesus Christ.
