San Saba 8th grade Dillos defeated the Goldthwaite 8th Grade Eagles by a score of 20-6 in Goldthwaite last Thursday night. It was a hard hitting action packed game. Goldthwaite kicked to San Saba to start the game. San Saba gained a first down but the drive stalled and the Dillos punted. The Dillo defense held on plays by David Valencia, John Watson, Roy Argote, Roberto and Ramiro Coronado. San Saba took over. Emiliano Rocha ran for 2 yards, John Faught ran for 25. Rocha added 3 then 9. A Dillo pass interception stalled the drive a little, but Goldthwaite fumbled and the offense regained possession. Rocha ran for 3 yards then 20. John Welch added 5, Emiliano Rocha ran 10 yards for the Dillos first score, the PAT failed, 6-0, Dillos. Good blocking by John Welch, John Watson, Logan Guidroz, Robbie Hensley, Ramiro Coronado, David Valencia, Roberto Coronado and Joey Salinas opened holes in the Eagle line.
