This past week the San Saba Cross Country team traveled to Gatesville. Overall, the kids did an excellent job and I was extremely proud of them. All of them bettered their time from the Hico meet, and some set a personal best.

In the varsity girls division, we placed 4

In the varsity boys division Hector Paez placed 13

The kids keep improving weekly and I am very proud of them. This week we travel to Lometa on Tuesday. We are taking the junior high and high school to compete. Hopefully good things come from this meet as well. Thanks for all your support of the San Saba Armadillos athletics!

th as a team behind Waco Connally, Gatesville, and one point behind Whitney. I was extremely pleased with this as the teams ahead of us are either 3A or a big 2A. Alexa Maxcey placed 13th with a time of 14:11, Yicelle Cuevas placed 16th with a time of 14:31 (her personal best), Shea Scott finished in 21st place with a time of 14:43, AJ Gamboa placed 29th with a time of 14:49, Shellby Buttler came in 47th place with a time of 15:39, and Andrea Jimenez came in 78th with a time of 17:36. There were a total of 86 girls running in the varsity division so I was very pleased with how the girls competed.th with a personal best time of 18:11, Julian Coronado placed 72nd with a personal best time of 24:29, and Jantzen Bell followed closely behind coming in 76th place with a personal best time of 25:07.
