After a two-week slump, the Indians are back on top as they shut out the Comanche Paradigm Patriots 48-0 on Thursday night. Scoring for the Indians were E.J. Borchers, Stephen Austermann and Andy Dozier. Borchers ran for 115 yards and scored four touchdowns. Austermann ran for 58 yards and scored two touchdowns. With less than two minutes until the half, Dozier scored on a six-yard run to end the game by the 45-point mercy rule. Other rushers were Burnam Sloan with 27 yards, Ryan Breadner with 13 yards and Payton Tatsch with 18 yards. Leading the defense against the Patriots were Borchers and Tatsch. Austermann was elected Player of the Week. This week’s football action will be against the Zephyr Bulldogs. JH and JV Indians will begin play at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Cherokee. The Varsity Indians will travel to Zephyr on Friday to meet up with the Bulldogs. Come out and support your Indians.
