Thursday, September 29, 2011 • Posted September 29, 2011

Sheriff Brown and Chief Deputy Bill Price arrested Randy James McAnally for outstanding warrants out of Williamson and Burnet counties on Wednesday the 21st. Sheriff Brown was notified that McAnally was apparently hiding in San Saba County in the China Creek area.

Brown and Price began a search and located the suspect driving on CR 202 and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, McAnally, who was reported to be under the influence of methamphetamine and would run and/or fight, did not stray from his reputation. After a struggle in the middle of the county road, the suspect was arrested and transported to the San Saba County Jail where he was booked in on his warrants and a third, resisting charge as well. Sheriff Brown stated that "when another agency advises us that a criminal like this one is in our county, we will do all that we can to assist them in locating him and removing him from our community."

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
