Shaky Faith

Barbers trim a man’s sideburns and the hair of his neck with shaving cream and a straight razor.

Once I was in a barber shop and noticed the barber had shaky hands. In order to use the straight razor, he had to hold his razor with his other hand in order to keep it steady as he was trimming.

Every time a man got in his chair, he had to have faith the barber would not cut his throat. Faith is trusting that something is true without be absolutely sure.

Jesus’ disciples were in a raging storm, and Jesus spoke to them in Luke 8:25:

Our faith rests on the testimony of the disciples who witnessed that power and believed.

"Where is your faith?" In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him."
