Wallace Creek EE Club holds meeting

The Wallace Creek EE Club met Thursday, September 15 at the club house.

Lynn Blankenship called the meeting to order. The minutes were read. The treasurer's report was given. Each member present paid their dues for the coming year. Lynn gave the council report. She reported: 1. The county EE clubs will meet at the Rylander Library September 21 at 2:00 for a program, "Medicare Fraud and Abuse" to be presented by Fran Hulgan. 2. The vice-presidents from each club are to meet September 29 to discuss the programs for the coming year. 3. October 7 at 10:00, the Wallace Creek EE Club will host the EE Council for installation of new officers and luncheon. Each member is to bring a covered dish for the luncheon. 4. The county Health Fair will be November 1 at the Civic Center.

Under old business the club completed the plans for the annual Ice Cream Supper to be held September 19th at the club house at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to this social to finalize the very hot summer.

The new business covered several topics. The annual Wallace Creek Thanksgiving Supper will be November 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the club house. The public is invited to attend. A fund-raiser was discussed, but nothing was finalized. Everyone was invited to participate in the First Annual Pecan Candy Challenge to be part of the San Saba River Pecan Jam, October 22, 2011, Risien Park, San Saba Texas. The group voted to keep the present officers for next year.

The meeting was adjourned.

The members present were Lynn Blankenship, Doris Cates, Jackie Doner, Noma Fitzgerald, Imogene Hawkins and Margie Osborne.
