The good news is, we finally received some rain! Saturday and Sunday combined showed an even inch. We are thankful for any amount. That makes only about 8 inches for the year.

The 42 tournament at Richland Springs was September 10th and Marilyn Suber and David Hulme won first place. Doyle Slaughter and Donna Webb came in second. The next tournament will be at Elm Grove on October 8th.

Remember the gospel singing at Elm Grove on October 15th.

The Richland Springs Coyotes won their game with Austin Hill Country by a score of 74-38 last week. This past Friday night the Coyotes dominated the field again by beating Ft.Worth Fellowship by a score of 74-15 to celebrate homecoming in style. The Coyotes will travel to San Antonio this week and face the San Antonio Feast.

The Holt Cemetery business meeting and work day has been cancelled for October 1st. The next meeting will be in April 2012.

Marilyn Suber and I made a trip to San Angelo this weekend to take a load to Bethany Suber and help her get settled in her new apartment. She and her sister, Stacie, are having a lot of fun decorating. We got in a short visit with Sophia Elizondo and her Daddy, Santos, during lunch.

Marilyn Suber learned last Friday that she will have to relocate her beauty shop after being there for 24 years. She is planning to put a building over here by the house and keep on working. She will not be moving right away and she will let all of her customers know when and where.

We heard the rodeo workers supper was good and had a good attendance.
