Recently I was talking to a young woman in her 20’s and I asked her about her relationship to Jesus Christ. She had accepted Him at the age of nine. I asked her if she was married because she had a ring on her hand. She was not but she was living with her boyfriend to see if it was going to work out. I asked her if she went to Church and she said, "no". I also asked her if she read the Bible and she said," no" I went on to ask where in the Bible did God approve of us just living together and not getting married. She went on to say, "Oh that stuff is old school about keeping yourself pure till marriage" She went on to say, " We are new school and we do things differently" I wondered what God’s word said about this new school stuff. First of all Gods principles and laws never change, (Luke 21:33). Second, we are accountable as to how we obey them, (Psalm 50:16, Proverbs 2:1-22, proverbs 4:4). God expects us to learn and know His word, the Bible, and to obey it, (Luke 6:46, John 14:23&24). As we move closer to the end times more will fall away and say they are Christians but are really not, (2 Timothy 3:1-5). As for me I think I will stay in the old school. See you in Church next Sunday.
