Thursday, September 22, 2011 • Posted September 22, 2011

On Saturday morning, September 17, 2011, San Saba County Sheriff Brown and City of San Saba Police Officer Jimmy Hill responded to a one vehicle accident on FM 1030 (Wallace Creek Road). When officers arrived on the scene, the vehicle was upside down in a fence line and was totaled. The driver of the vehicle was not on the scene when first responders arrived, but was finally located at a nearby residence.

The driver of the vehicle was then transported to Llano ER with security on board due to the driver's extremely combative and intoxicated condition.

Sheriff Brown stated that this accident was alcohol related and

that illegal narcotics were recovered during the course of the investigation.

Due to the accident and the driver being transported to the hospital, charges were not filed at that time, but warrants for the driver's arrest will be sought.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Sheriff's Office are handling the accident and following up on the investigation.
