SAN SABA - Receipts totaled 2179 head for the week. After last week’s increase, stocker steers and heifers sold steady with feeder steers and heifers selling steady to $2 lower on a limited number of the bigger cattle on hand due to the drought and most calves selling are light. Packer cows were $2 lower and packer bulls were $4 lower. Pairs and bred cows sold on a steady market. There was no sale in Mason this week in observance of Labor Day.
