It was a tragic event with so many innocent people killed. Those who lost loved ones will never forget the hurt and heartache. What did we learn as a nation? We have an enemy that will attack, kill and destroy any chance he gets. We fell asleep or were at ease and thought we were safe but in reality there is no safe place or hour in our nation today. We are under attack! Oh, we may not see the smoke today but you can bet your boots there are those who are planning and scheming night and day of ways to hurt or destroy us. It is not just those who are in a foreign country but some are right here just waiting for the right moment. In thinking back about 9-11 I am reminded of something in the Bible. It says we have an enemy both Christians and non-Christians. Our enemy’s goal is to rob, kill and destroy, (John 8:44&45, 10:10). He cannot keep a Christian out of heaven but he can sure steal our blessings and the wonderful things God has for us here, (James 4:1-10). The enemy will try to keep non Christians entertained so they will not know, hear or believe the truth abut Jesus, (John 10:9&10). Our enemy Satan, the Devil or the evil one never sleeps or gives up, he is always scheming and plotting and at work 24-7, (Ephesians 6:10-20). See you in Church next Sunday.
