The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met September 1, 2011 for the monthly business meeting. President, Anita Miles, called the meeting to order and the meeting was opened with prayer by Janet Hoyt. Secretary, Jo Anne Hardy, read the minutes and they were approved as read. There was a report on our Treasurer, Bobbie Churchill. She is in the hospital in Brownwood and we are all in prayer for her recovery. Bobbie is one of our favorite members. There was no report. Hattie Rogers was appointed to take over her duties until she is well. Sandee Hartley reported that the Traveling 4-Ball will be in Lampasas, Texas on September 20, 2011. All the committees have functioned and ready for the Fall Four Lady Pecan Classic. Anita reported that we have 14 teams at this time, and hopes for a few more entries.

The ladies adjourned for play day with Anita, appointed by Hattie Rogers the Chair for September, calling for a practice round of best ball scramble. The team of Sandee Hartley, Peggy Jones, Janet Hoyt, and Dorothy Sterner beat the team of Anita Miles, Hattie Rogers, Jo Ann Snow, and Jo Anne Hardy by one stroke. Both teams chipped in to split the chip in pot. We were thrilled to have Becky Hardin at the business meeting and Pat Ribb joining us for lunch. We always miss our members that have health issues. The president is not speaking to the membership, as they continue to insist on meeting at 8:00 o’clock. She has no clout and suffers from such abuse. Nevermind, let’s just keep on "swinging!"
