The second week of school went smoothly. Enrollment for the school year began at 137 students. The students were introduced to new staff members. Jack Sloan will be teaching science grades 7-12. Kristin Loudermilk will be teaching grades 4, 5, and 6. Please welcome our newest staff members to Richland Springs.

Varsity football action last Friday night vs. Avalon was an exciting game. It was 95 degrees at kickoff and the heat took its toll on both teams. The Coyotes were victorious by a score of 66-20. Football action continues this week against Panther Creek. The varsity Coyotes will play at home as they host Panther Creek for a 7:30 kickoff on Friday. Come support our student athletes at the games. If you cannot make the varsity game in person, listen on the internet at www.sansabaradio.com (on the AM side) each week.

Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 5 in 2011). Richland Springs ISD will be closed on Monday, September 5

Valerie Gossett is again coordinating the 4H program at Richland Springs. 4H will hold their first meeting Wednesday, September 7
