Still no rain but maybe it is getting closer. There is a slight chance in the forecast for the end of the week and the high Friday is only supposed to be 95 degrees! The goat cook-off in Brady is this weekend and that quite often gets rained on. Keep on praying.

We are kicking off another new month and the 42 tournament will be at Richland Springs on the 10th. No community meeting at Elm Grove this month due to the rodeo workers appreciation supper being on the 17th. The Busy Bee quilters are still cancelled, but I hear that Gloria Lusty is back home and doing well, so maybe the ladies can pick up their quilting again someday soon.

The gospel singing will be October 15th. Hope to see you there.

Marilyn, Michael and I went to Ozona last Thursday for the funeral service for Melissa Mitchel, age 36. She was my great niece and the cause of death is not yet known.

Marilyn Suber went to San Angelo Sunday evening to keep little Sophia Elizondo on Monday.
