SS County Livestock and Wildlife Assoc. conducts annual meeting

On August 23rd at 6 p.m. the annual meeting of the San Saba County Livestock & Wildlife Association was held in the District Courtroom.

Business conducted at the meeting included approval of the minutes from the 2010 annual meeting; approval of the Treasurer's report; election of Directors, David Behrens, Tommie Tinney, Gerald McKee, and new director Steve Faught; election of officers W.D. Carroll, President; Tommy Behrens, Treasurer; Jackie Shahan, Secretary; and the Trapper's report which included for August 2011: 375 coyotes, 7 bobcat, 26 gray fox, 5 red fox, 464 hogs and 4 beaver. After all business was taken care of, the meeting was adjourned.

Everyone attending expressed appreciation to the trappers, Les Hammett and Tim Cox, for a job well done. The Board asks all members to help in expanding our membership in the coming months. An additional $4,800.00 needs to be raised this year to meet our obligation. The board urges all members to speak with your neighbors, friends and hunters and explain why they should join.
