The water situation on the Colorado River is getting bad. There are places where the river isn’t running at all, just small pools of standing water which won’t last much longer unless we get some much needed rain. Everyone around the Bend is trying to conserve water so that their wells will not go dry. With a shortage of forage and with the lack of water the livestock that are still in the pastures will be suffering even more. Everyone needs to pray for rain!
Pat and Bonnie Millican recently spent some time in San Antonio babysitting their grandson Henry Millican while his parents went on a little vacation. Henry is 14 months old with all the energy and activity that goes with someone that age. Pat and Bonnie had a great time, but did feel their age while trying to keep up, but did hate to say goodbye when his parents came home.
Pat and Bonnie are very grateful to OraBeth Hicks and Carol Mackinnon for looking after things while they were gone, especially after the terrible winds that came breaking limbs and turning over pots and blowing porch furniture off the porch and making such a mess. The two ladies got it all straightened up before Pat and Bonnie returned home. That is what you call good friends!
