The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met August 11, 2011 for play day with Sandee Hartley, in the absence of the August Chair Anita Miles, called for a game of "Best at Something" where you earn points for being in the fairway on your drive, having a one point, or being on the green in regulation and subtract a point for a three putt, lost ball, or being in a hazard.

Our Ms Hattie Rogers had her day in the sun tying for first place with Sandee Hartley and winning the putt pot! Sandee scored the Low Gross for the day. Dorothy Sterner was second and scored the Low Net for the day, and Jo Ann Snow was third. Peggy Jones improved 7 strokes from last week. Peggy is our newest member and hasn’t been playing golf in a long time. She will soon be shooting much lower scores.

It is time to enter your team for the Fall 4 Lady Pecan Classic on September 10, 2011. Please call Anita Miles at 372-3581 to enter. It is a fun tournament with great participation. And to be honed to your finest, there is only one thing to do. Keep on ‘swinging’!
