San Saba Elementary is ready for students! Meet the teacher will be Friday, August 19 from 2:00 – 3:00. Class lists will be posted on Friday morning, and school will start bright and early on Monday, August 22, 2011. We are excited about the 2011-12 school year.

ARRIVAL: Please remember that students can be dropped off in front of the elementary no earlier than 7:20 each morning. Students in grades K – 4 will go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast, and students in prekindergarten will be greeted and taken to the library by staff, weather permitting.

DISMISSAL: Pick up routines will be similar to last school year, with dismissal of bus students and the K-2 car riders to the car line on Church Street at 3:35 and non-car riders immediately following the complete dismissal of the car riders. This is for the safety of students leaving our campus. Students on the 3

rd and 4th grade wing will pick up on Seventh Street for car riders, with walkers dismissed after the cars are gone. The 3rd and 4th grade students are dismissed more quickly, as they are older and already know the routines, and there are fewer students involved in the dismissal process. Please be patient with the K-2 dismissal process. Once the students learn to watch for their own cars, and teachers become familiar with the cars in the line it will go much more quickly. The most important thing is for dismissal to be safe for students, parents, and staff.
